(More customer reviews)Although this tool bit is advertised as being intended for grinding cement or quickset, I use it for lime plaster restoration and repair. If the covering of your inside walls and ceilings consists of a thin white layer over a thicker layer resembling crumbly cement with imbedded hair, you've got (historic) lime plaster. If you wish to repair/restore it rather than tear it all out (read about the numerous advantages of this material before deciding to do this!) this tool bit erases surface defects, grinds off delaminated finishing layer and widens cracks for repairs as easily as swiping a blackboard eraser across a blackboard; it cuts fast fast fast! This tool bit is the plasterer's best friend! Put to this use, I can't imagine that you'd ever manage to wear one out; the carbide chips are coarse, sharp, and seem very well-anchored. I can't testify about how well this bit would work on cement or quickset, as I haven't tried it out on such materials.
