However, the battery is weak, and this is a frequent complaint with tools imported by Harbor Freight Tools. In addition, the battery charger does not shut itself off when the charging is complete. As a result, the NiCd batteries get "cooked" if you leave the battery connected to the charger for extended periods.
Replacement battery packs are not readily available. If you try to disassemble it and replace the individual battery cells yourself, you find that a set of eight 4/5 AA size NiCd replacement cells will cost more than $20. You might benefit from just buying another complete kit for $30.
Incidentally, the photo currently shows two battery packs as of 3/25/11. (One battery pack is attached to the tool and one is adjacent to the tool.) The Chicago Electric brand "Dremel-Type" rotary tool I purchased included only one battery pack.
