I use this in conjuction with a leather belt to polish my knife edges, and achieve fantastic results. I also use this with polishing bits on my rotary tool to polish my jewelery myself. With the size of this product, it should be a long time before I have to buy more. A great value, this is, for a person who uses jeweler's rouge.

(More customer reviews)I bought this set along with a couple buffer wheels to do some polishing of old brass door and window hardware. The polishing guide in the back is adequate, but if you're a polishing newbie, as I was, you might want to read up a bit more elsewhere. Two useful points: use sparingly but frequently (touch to buffing wheel for less than a second and reapply often) and clean your wheel before changing compounds. The products work as they should.

These polishing compounds are for buffing and polishing most metals including aluminum, brass, stainless steel, silver, gold, etc. and most plastics (cannot be used on low melting point plastics). A polishing compound chart on the back of the card shows the proper compound to use with each material. Basic polishing instructions are included as well.
