I purchased this thing from a local retail store, and it is very aggressive at the time you use it with any wood, actually it cuts the wood like butter. I own other tungsten carbide bits with cross cut, and they have a smooth cut, this one is more aggressive and leave some "teeth" marks but it is ok, since you will need to sand the wood anyway. I recommend this bit to rough out the wood blank and then do the finish with other bits etc. This is an excellent choice for a power carver. By the way i use it at 18,000 rpm with a foredom flexshaft and at almost the same speed with a generic rotary tool (a dremel clone) with a flexshaft too.
