I bought this router bit set and found them to be sharp with quite an accurate cutting profile. I thought they were better quality than Dremel's and at a better price!

The pantograph is a light duty unit. I wish is was a little stronger. I have used it on a few projects and it preformed just fine.

Lettering by hand takes an exorbitant amount of time and is not generally accurate. Router pantographs are used for standardizing lettering when making wooden signs, nameplates and plaques. Trace letters and drawings by attaching router to universal mounting plate. Old English and modern lettering templates as well as instructions for tracing and reducing are included. This pantograph is made of high-impact molded plastic and metal.

Milescraft 1206 SignCrafter Signmaking template kit with TurnLock Review

Milescraft 1206 SignCrafter Signmaking template kit with TurnLock
Average Reviews:

I have been able to quickly and easily create several signs in the last few days since purchasing this. It does work quite well, but you've got to use a lot of extra clamps to keep the templates from moving. The little thumbscrews that are used to "clamp" the sign in place are really only good for setting the alignment of the template. They are way too loose and weak to keep the thing in place when a router is moving over it - not even close to holding it down. Plus, if you're using the full-length extension on it for wide signs, the center tends to flex back and forth due to another weak set of thumbscrews that barely hold the thing together.
So, what I do, is use a set of about 4 good clamps at various places along the template to keep the entire thing completely rigid and solid. As I move the router along I have to move clamps to keep them out of the way, but it's no big deal. That being said, there is another version of the SignCrafter template that I've seen sold online which has different end-brackets. It comes with brackets that are designed for clamps, and the kit even comes with low-profile clamps.
For the price, the SignCrafter is a great deal! The letter set is missing some things that I think should be included, but as best I can tell are not even available anywhere. Such things as punctuation (question marks, exclamation marks, etc., and other things that a signmaking kit should have like templates for arrows and other markers. I think I'll try fabricating my own templates to fit the kit by using a scrollsaw and some 1/8" plexiglass.
Oh, and you'll definitely want to use a 1/2" box core bit for the 2.5" letters. Anything smaller and the letters come out a bit thin looking. The kit comes with a smaller bit - I don't use it. Similarly, you'll want a 1/4" bit for the small letters.

This pantograph is far more versitile than using templates for sign making. Your imagination is the only limit to designs you can create. Constuction could be a bit more rugged but for the price it is a fine value.

10 pc. Mini Router Bits Set (For Dremel Tools) Review

10 pc. Mini Router Bits Set (For Dremel Tools)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
These are NOT high-end router bits. They are not designed for high end routing work where cabinetry level interior carpentry or high-end musical instrument measurements are demanded. HOWEVER; they CAN be made to work in such fine areas with things like a decent Cut-Out tool that they are worth their weight in time.... If you need a Router for large scale routing: get a Router. but if you need a routed channel or things of a nature that would be hand-fit anyway; these are just the ticket.
An example would be making a replica Katana (sword) sheath. The two elements of wood would require hand-fitting in any case; but the small routing would be a serious chore with a larger router. A Cut-Out tool with small sized router bits would be perfect (& they are). Other examples are rifle stock fittings, desk drawer repair, tongue and groove repair, or small scale routing in a hard to reach unmovable place or object.
I cannot imagine why high-end manufacturers have not made these. However, I have not seen them at a great many woodworking stores. They are NOT junk. But they are not high-end German made quality router bits. I suggest Cut-Out tools like a DeWalt because of the strength of the motor. The DeWalt Cut-Out machine has a 5 amp motor, the Porter-Cable (if you can find them) has a 5.6 amp motor. You need a machine with some real drive to get clean cuts when routing. When using Fine, small routing bits, that extra strength will get a finer cut.
However unlike a Plunger-Router, you need to set up your routing pathway very well and even make allowances for the lack of a Plunger start. You ARE not using a Router; you are using router bits. If fore-thought is placed into the activity; these tiny bits can really be useful. One day Freud or some German tool company will make these and all the items need to do micro routing. but until then these very inexpensive items will fill a void.
NOTE: they will get dull in real hardwood routing over time but they MAY be sharpenable. This is NOT high-end stuff; it simply fills a void. I do not see them dulling on softer woods.
Additionally, you are going to have to get very close to the work. Eye protection will need to be different than with a true router. You'll need something beside a full face shield and it will need to stay clean & fog free.

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table Review

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a valuable accessory for your Dremel tool, but it does have some limitations you need to recognize and live within.
It's good at cutting dadoes and doing edging, but not in hard woods. Rotary tools work at high speed, but with low torque. They just cannot churn their way through something like oak. Even with soft woods, it's best to make deep cuts in several shallow passes.
Deep cuts will generate considerable sawdust, which falls down into the tool. I can see that this could damage the tool over time. I deal with this issue by using my regular router for extensive dust-generating work. Again, you need to live within the limitations of your tool.
As with all rotary tool operations, sharp bits are essential. The high-speed, low-torque operation means that they, in effect, shave material away, much like a dentist's drill. If you try to just grind away, the tool will bog down and/or the bits will dull quickly. Unfortunately, the best Dremel brand router bits are VERY expensive. Cheap Brand-X bits work OK, but they wear out quickly. Dremel-brand bits last longer, but they're much more expensive. There's a line somewhere, and you'll have to judge for yourself where it is.
The router table itself is solid, well-designed, and easy to use. It seems to work best if you screw it to a piece of wood or MDF, then clamp that to your workbench or sawhorse.
To me, this accessory is worth the cost, but it does have limitations that you need to consider. I'm glad I bought it, and I'd do it again.

Ideal for those who use their Dremel corded rotary tool to help complete crafts, hobbies, and light-duty renovation projects, the 231 features an adjustable fence to tackle everything from making notches and grooves in a wooden frame to constructing an architectural model. For added convenience, it fits Dremel rotary tool models 400, 398, 395, 300, 285, 275, 200, and 100 (tool not included).
Slot, Groove, Sand, and TrimThe 231 Shaper/Router table extends and enhances the versatility of your Dremel rotary tool, so it can help you take on any project you dream up. Building furniture for a dollhouse? Restoring vintage wooden frames? Engraving letters or designs in soft wood? The 231 lets you tackle this kind of detailed work with ease. It's also excellent for architectural models and scale model making because it's designed to keep pieces and materials organized as you work. Additionally, the 231 gives you the flexibility to handle every step of the construction process in one place, minimizing clutter and lost parts.
Smooth Tabletop Surface for a Variety of JobsThe 231 has a smooth tabletop surface for easy slotting, edge trimming, grooving, and sanding of both common and less traditional shapes, making it a great choice for model making, decorative trim work, or detailed edging projects. And because it gives you a dedicated and steady place to work, this table is also a must-have for anyone who uses their Dremel rotary tool for routing applications.
Straightforward OperationOperation is simple: the 231 holds your rotary tool securely in place under the table so you can mount whichever shaping bit you're using directly in it. Routing is fast and easy, even for small dado grooves with a straight bit. Sanding is equally effortless -- simply put in a sanding drum and position your materials directly against it. Convenient plastic knobs lend durability and ensure a comfortable grip, and a screwdriver slot makes for efficient tool assembly and depth adjustment, so you're able to complete your project in one place. For added peace of mind, the adjustable fence ensures proper wood placement as it passes through the bit.
Compact, Portable, and Easy to StoreMeasuring 8 x 6 inches, the worktable gives you ample space and yet is compact enough to fit in a small or over-crowded workspace or shop. Its small size allows it to be stored in a corner or cabinet, and it's compact enough for easy portability. Finally, the 231 is much more affordable than a complete router table, making it an economical choice.
