Awfully expensive for 4 AA bateries! Tearing apart old pack, I discovered it comes apart relatively easily and batteries inside can be replaced for much less cost.

I'm not happy about paying nearly $20 to replace a battery pack that SHOULD be servicable to start with. Come on Dremel... just put four standard AA batteries in a case that opens and let us buy higher quality batteries for less money.
My last pack stopped working way to quickly, but I have a need for the tool, so I guess I'm stuck.
Oh well.

Dremel 565 Multi Purpose Cutting Kit 565D Review

Dremel 565 Multi Purpose Cutting Kit 565D
Average Reviews:

I bought this specifically for cutting holes in drywall for electrical boxes, but I have since found that it has many uses beyond that.
What I have found:
- As someone else has stated, the depth gauge is a little inaccurate. You will have to sight the depth for this (which is best anyway.)
- Made of quality materials. You've come across that cheap plastic before; this is not that stuff. This has taken a few drops, so far.
- The drywall bits seem to wear out quicker than I planned on. I have only cut 10 holes for electrical outlets and it seems to take longer to cut each time I use it. The first hole I cut went fast and smooth; whereas the last one that I just cut took three times as long, and twice as much pressure.
- The bit will tend to 'walk' if you don't have firm control over it. (I know, I know, this seems obvious, but maybe not to everyone.) Use of a guide or fence should help control the outcome of your results.
- Does NOT tear drywall. Smooth cuts on both sides -- smoother than my Greenlee drywall/keyhole saw.
- You'll need to use the mini-chuck with the guide. The bigger chuck won't allow the guide to screw down. (I think everyone got one with their main Dremel unit, but I'm not sure.)
- Holding a vacuum hose or air nozzle to one side of the guide will greatly increase your sight. This thing kicks up some serious dust, and unless the light is good, the line you're following may be difficult to see.
I highly recommend this product for those finish cuts on drywall where a saw just won't leave the edges smooth. If you plan on cutting more than 20 holes in drywall, I'd pick up another bit or two.

The drywall bits allow you to quickly cut drywall for electrical boxes, air vents and other wall features. It's best to use drywall bits in a clockwise direction. The multipurpose cutting bit prepares an area for light fixtures and ceiling fans and makes cut-outs in cabinets, paneling and fiberglass. Includes: a cutting guide attachment; two drywall cutting bits; and one multipurpose bit.

Dremel 670 Mini Saw Attachment Review

Dremel 670 Mini Saw Attachment

Dremel had a saw blade bit an number of years ago but withdrew it, probably because there was no blade guard. Now they have solved the blade guard problem and by angling the tool a bit have made it able to cut in the center of a board. It took a little getting used to before I got comfortable with it because the guard tends to fight you a bit until you develop the technique to open it properly as you start the cut. It is limited to 1/4" depth of cut making it specifically a modelers tool. When used for what it does best, it is great.

Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming Rotary Tool Review

Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming Rotary Tool

I love the Dremel Nail Groomer! It is a veritable dream to use when compare with dog nail clippers because there is no danger of clipping the quick. Here are a few things of note:
1. Some dogs don't like the sound, not a problem for my pups but something you might want to think about. Do not use it on Fluffy until they are comfortable with the sound. You can use lots of treats to encourage proximity if needed. When Fluffy ignores (or better yet investigates) the Dremel your good to go.
2. Have lots of treats handy (I use a high quality, small bite dog food as cheap treats-adjust regular feedings if needed). Treat Fluff often until they get use to the feel.
3. Use low speed and make early sessions short. One paw or so.
4. Sand in short, 1 or 2 second burst to prevent uncomfortable heat build up from the friction and to avoid the possibility of sanding off too much nail (the latter hasn't been a problem for me so far, but I have run into the former and the dog didn't like it).
5. Expect nail dust.
6. On low, accidental sanding of fingers feels funny but doesn't hurt! (Yep I've done it... lots. I haven't needed high speed, so don't know its effect.)
7. Two words: Rechargeable Batteries (Energizer NiMHs Rock)!! I'm not having the battery problems others are complaining about. With two medium sized dogs and several months of twice monthly trims I've only changed the batteries once. If you don't get rechargeable get batteries intended for high power consumption electronics.

Because it grinds nails rather than cutting them, this handy tool helps prevent bleeding nail beds, cracked nails, or nicks. At the same time, the 761-03 is quiet enough that its noise soothes rather than startles a nervous pup.

Instead, the Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming kit saves both money and stress by giving you the option of taking care of your pet where he is most comfortable--at home. Lightweight, Easy-Maneuver DesignWeighing less than one pound, and featuring durable yet lightweight plastic housing, the Cordless Pet Nail Grooming kit is easy to handle and hold, even if your pet is squirming. It's also a snap to maneuver, allowing you to access your pet's nails from a variety of different angles. And you'll never have to worry about cords getting in the way or tangling around your dog; the Dremel Cordless Pet Nail Grooming kit conveniently takes four "AA" batteries (not included).
Pet and User FriendlyThe Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming kit is both user- and pet-friendly. More efficient than a file, and safer than traditional cutters, it delivers quick, pain-free results. When you first introduce the tool to your pet, simply turning it on and running it for a few minutes gives Champ the chance to get used to the sound. Start with a low speed and trust the rotary action to gently sand nails. And keep in mind that during the first few sessions, you can opt to sand in short bursts, alternating from paw to paw, both to make sure each nail has a chance to cool down and to keep your pet comfortable.
To make the grooming experience as pleasant as possible, the Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming kit includes five grinding drums as well as a wrench for changing them. It is backed by a two-year warranty.

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table Review

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a valuable accessory for your Dremel tool, but it does have some limitations you need to recognize and live within.
It's good at cutting dadoes and doing edging, but not in hard woods. Rotary tools work at high speed, but with low torque. They just cannot churn their way through something like oak. Even with soft woods, it's best to make deep cuts in several shallow passes.
Deep cuts will generate considerable sawdust, which falls down into the tool. I can see that this could damage the tool over time. I deal with this issue by using my regular router for extensive dust-generating work. Again, you need to live within the limitations of your tool.
As with all rotary tool operations, sharp bits are essential. The high-speed, low-torque operation means that they, in effect, shave material away, much like a dentist's drill. If you try to just grind away, the tool will bog down and/or the bits will dull quickly. Unfortunately, the best Dremel brand router bits are VERY expensive. Cheap Brand-X bits work OK, but they wear out quickly. Dremel-brand bits last longer, but they're much more expensive. There's a line somewhere, and you'll have to judge for yourself where it is.
The router table itself is solid, well-designed, and easy to use. It seems to work best if you screw it to a piece of wood or MDF, then clamp that to your workbench or sawhorse.
To me, this accessory is worth the cost, but it does have limitations that you need to consider. I'm glad I bought it, and I'd do it again.

Gain the flexibility and precision you need to shape, detail, and sand a variety of soft and hard woods with the Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table. Ideal for those who use their Dremel corded rotary tool to help complete crafts, hobbies, and light-duty renovation projects, the 231 features an adjustable fence to tackle everything from making notches and grooves in a wooden frame to constructing an architectural model. For added convenience, it fits Dremel rotary tool models 400, 398, 395, 300, 285, 275, 200, and 100 (tool not included).
Slot, Groove, Sand, and TrimThe 231 Shaper/Router table extends and enhances the versatility of your Dremel rotary tool, so it can help you take on any project you dream up. Building furniture for a dollhouse? Restoring vintage wooden frames? Engraving letters or designs in soft wood? The 231 lets you tackle this kind of detailed work with ease. It's also excellent for architectural models and scale model making because it's designed to keep pieces and materials organized as you work. Additionally, the 231 gives you the flexibility to handle every step of the construction process in one place, minimizing clutter and lost parts.
Smooth Tabletop Surface for a Variety of JobsThe 231 has a smooth tabletop surface for easy slotting, edge trimming, grooving, and sanding of both common and less traditional shapes, making it a great choice for model making, decorative trim work, or detailed edging projects. And because it gives you a dedicated and steady place to work, this table is also a must-have for anyone who uses their Dremel rotary tool for routing applications.
Straightforward OperationOperation is simple: the 231 holds your rotary tool securely in place under the table so you can mount whichever shaping bit you're using directly in it. Routing is fast and easy, even for small dado grooves with a straight bit. Sanding is equally effortless -- simply put in a sanding drum and position your materials directly against it. Convenient plastic knobs lend durability and ensure a comfortable grip, and a screwdriver slot makes for efficient tool assembly and depth adjustment, so you're able to complete your project in one place. For added peace of mind, the adjustable fence ensures proper wood placement as it passes through the bit.
Compact, Portable, and Easy to StoreMeasuring 8 x 6 inches, the worktable gives you ample space and yet is compact enough to fit in a small or over-crowded workspace or shop. Its small size allows it to be stored in a corner or cabinet, and it's compact enough for easy portability. Finally, the 231 is much more affordable than a complete router table, making it an economical choice.
