EXCEL BURNISHER WITH 4 ASSORTED TIPS Review

This tool makes transferring images and patterns a breeze. My hobby is making playground toys for my kids so I do alot of work from patterns. Before I had thei transfer tool I used to use pencils or pens and this would always tear the pattern so i could not reuse. Since I started using this tool I have saved my patterns and it has made transfers easier and quicker.

Dremel PL400 XPR Planer Attachment Review

Dremel PL400 XPR Planer Attachment
Average Reviews:

Makes reasonably quick work of trimming a door edge that rubs, but doing a neat job takes some practice. Heavy touch up sanding will be required.
This Dremel attachment is like every other Dremel attachment I have been suckered into buying, it is clearly designed by bean counters. It works just good enough that I would feel bad about throwing it out. For $20, it is a nice tool to have, but I would gladly pay more for one that had a better guide and did a neater job.
A couple specific gripes:
1. The 1/64th depth isn't off by a bit, it is off by a factor of 4. It planes nearly a 1/16th off per pass. I'm still trying to figure out how they came up with the 1/64th number.
2. The guide is useless, it is up to the user to attempt to keep the tool flat on the surface. This takes some practice and will result in some gouges and uneven planed surfaces that need to be smoothed off with sanding.

The new Dremel XPR planer attachment shaves approximately 1/64 inch at a time so you can control the amount of material being removed. The 2 1/4-inch cutting surface is ideal for woodworking projects, and the hardened high-speed cutter has been tested to over 500 linear feet. This great tool is designed to perform planing tasks on sticking doors, picture frames, woodworking projects, hardwood flooring, laminate countertops and much more. The long-lasting, precision-ground blade slices at speeds up to 35,000 rpm to produce a smooth surface that's free of milling marks.

Dremel 335-01 Plunge Router Attachment Review

Dremel 335-01 Plunge Router Attachment
Average Reviews:

Dremel has really upgraded with this new plunge router attachment for the rotary tool. It fits all the usual corded tools and even the new Li-Ion cordless!
Great new features like: Plunge capability, clear base, bigger base, rotary tool mounting is very sturdy and rigid, depth stop, big edge guide that goes all the way to the bit.
The locking handle takes a little getting used to. Because it locks with one handle and plasic was used for the base there is a little flex back after locking. Plastic for the base to be clear is a benefit, but the plastic for the top plate was probably to save cost so they could price it closer to what the old router was. Anyway, when I really want to be accurate with my depth, I make sure to measure the distance from the bottom of the base to the bit with a metal scale. That way I know the depth is what I want. If it was all metal I'd give it a 5, but then the cost would probably keep me from buying it. It's great for the small router jobs I do(signs, door striker plate installation etc.) and I would recommend it!

Anyone who's ever used a router understands the satisfaction that a cleanly cut rabbet or mortise can give. But if you're working on small-scale projects, such as jewelry boxes or models, that monster three-horsepower fixed-base router with the 1/2-inch bit is simply overkill. That's where the Dremel 335 comes in. This plunge-router adapter is meant to be used with the Dremel rotary tools (models 400, 398, 395, 300, 285, and 275), which accommodate 1/8-inch diameter bits. If you already own one of these tools, buying the attachment is a great way to get an instant router without having to shell out the extra forty or fifty bucks for a single-purpose machine (that may be too big for what you're doing anyway). Assembling the attachment is simple: just remove the housing cap from your Dremel, reassemble the collet nut, then place the tool into the router attachment. The tool is secured in the attachment with a mounting nut and wrench (both included). The attachment features two plunge depths, which are locked in via a rotary hand grip. Setting routing depth can be a little tricky: it's a good idea to practice on scrap until you get a feel for it. The clear base gives you good stability and lets you see exactly what you're doing, as does the narrow profile of the Dremel tool itself. The attachment also includes an adjustable edge guide that works very well. If you're working on small projects are willing to experiment with the settings, this is the router for you.

Dremel 692 6-Piece Router Bit Set Review

I use these router bits and the two styles of routers for building minuature wild west buildings and doll house furniture
With these bits I can make very percise cuts and with the finished product I've sold them for as much as 250-300 dollars each. My only regret is that dremel would make some other types of router bits just like the big boys.

Conveniently packaged in a reusable plastic case, these bits are ideal for routing, inlaying, and mortising wood and other soft materials. Ideal for a wide range of light to medium hobby, repair, and renovation jobs, this set ensures that you have the exact bit you need to tackle your next project.
For hobby, repair, and renovation jobs, the versatile bits can route, inlay, and more.High-Speed, Durable Steel Construction to Tackle a Range of JobsMade of high-speed, durable steel, these bits are the ideal size for rotary tools. The straight bits offer exceptional versatility, and the piloted edge bits help you add a personalized, detailed touch to wood frames, molding, and more.
Quality Construction for Precise Cuts the First TimeDesigned for use with the 335 Plunge Router and 231 Shaper/Router attachments, these bits feature high-quality construction that allows you to make exceptionally precise cuts the first time, saving you energy and stress. They're also well-suited for detailed work, such as building and sanding dollhouse furniture, model trains, or miniature buildings and planes.
User-Friendly Design and Easy Insertion Process for Longer LifeIncredibly easy to use, these bits work best when inserted all the way into the tool and then backed out slightly before tightening down. This insertion process provides plenty of shank for the collet or chuck to hold the bit in place. For optimum precision and longer life, it's also important to secure objects to a stable surface while working--if chattering occurs, simply increase the speed. It is also important to keep a light touch so the speed of the tool, not the strength of your arm, does the work.
Variety of Bits for a Range of ProjectsThis set comes with a total of six bits, including a 3/32-inch piloted beading bit, 1/4-inch core box bit, and 1/2-inch chamfer bit that all work well for inlaying and mortising wood and other soft materials.
About Dremel: A History of Brilliance and InnovationFounded in 1932 in Racine, Wisconsin, Dremel is the industry leader in rotary tools. The company owes its success to the inventive genius of its founder and namesake, Albert J. Dremel. In his lifetime, Mr. Dremel owned 55 patents on a wide range of products from electric erasers to a gas-powered rotary lawn mower. His most famous and important invention was a high-speed rotary tool, dubbed the Dremel Moto-Tool. Today, the Dremel name remains synonymous with utility, durability, and innovation.

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table Review

Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a valuable accessory for your Dremel tool, but it does have some limitations you need to recognize and live within.
It's good at cutting dadoes and doing edging, but not in hard woods. Rotary tools work at high speed, but with low torque. They just cannot churn their way through something like oak. Even with soft woods, it's best to make deep cuts in several shallow passes.
Deep cuts will generate considerable sawdust, which falls down into the tool. I can see that this could damage the tool over time. I deal with this issue by using my regular router for extensive dust-generating work. Again, you need to live within the limitations of your tool.
As with all rotary tool operations, sharp bits are essential. The high-speed, low-torque operation means that they, in effect, shave material away, much like a dentist's drill. If you try to just grind away, the tool will bog down and/or the bits will dull quickly. Unfortunately, the best Dremel brand router bits are VERY expensive. Cheap Brand-X bits work OK, but they wear out quickly. Dremel-brand bits last longer, but they're much more expensive. There's a line somewhere, and you'll have to judge for yourself where it is.
The router table itself is solid, well-designed, and easy to use. It seems to work best if you screw it to a piece of wood or MDF, then clamp that to your workbench or sawhorse.
To me, this accessory is worth the cost, but it does have limitations that you need to consider. I'm glad I bought it, and I'd do it again.

Gain the flexibility and precision you need to shape, detail, and sand a variety of soft and hard woods with the Dremel 231 Shaper/Router Table. Ideal for those who use their Dremel corded rotary tool to help complete crafts, hobbies, and light-duty renovation projects, the 231 features an adjustable fence to tackle everything from making notches and grooves in a wooden frame to constructing an architectural model. For added convenience, it fits Dremel rotary tool models 400, 398, 395, 300, 285, 275, 200, and 100 (tool not included).
Slot, Groove, Sand, and TrimThe 231 Shaper/Router table extends and enhances the versatility of your Dremel rotary tool, so it can help you take on any project you dream up. Building furniture for a dollhouse? Restoring vintage wooden frames? Engraving letters or designs in soft wood? The 231 lets you tackle this kind of detailed work with ease. It's also excellent for architectural models and scale model making because it's designed to keep pieces and materials organized as you work. Additionally, the 231 gives you the flexibility to handle every step of the construction process in one place, minimizing clutter and lost parts.
Smooth Tabletop Surface for a Variety of JobsThe 231 has a smooth tabletop surface for easy slotting, edge trimming, grooving, and sanding of both common and less traditional shapes, making it a great choice for model making, decorative trim work, or detailed edging projects. And because it gives you a dedicated and steady place to work, this table is also a must-have for anyone who uses their Dremel rotary tool for routing applications.
Straightforward OperationOperation is simple: the 231 holds your rotary tool securely in place under the table so you can mount whichever shaping bit you're using directly in it. Routing is fast and easy, even for small dado grooves with a straight bit. Sanding is equally effortless -- simply put in a sanding drum and position your materials directly against it. Convenient plastic knobs lend durability and ensure a comfortable grip, and a screwdriver slot makes for efficient tool assembly and depth adjustment, so you're able to complete your project in one place. For added peace of mind, the adjustable fence ensures proper wood placement as it passes through the bit.
Compact, Portable, and Easy to StoreMeasuring 8 x 6 inches, the worktable gives you ample space and yet is compact enough to fit in a small or over-crowded workspace or shop. Its small size allows it to be stored in a corner or cabinet, and it's compact enough for easy portability. Finally, the 231 is much more affordable than a complete router table, making it an economical choice.

Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck Review

Dremel 4486 MultiPro Keyless Chuck
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
It really works and is by far the most valuable accessory for the Dremel. It closes down to near 0 for the smallest of drill bits (much smaller than a sewing needle) yet still holds larger bits than the "large" hex collet. It is well made and durable, withstanding everything from concrete and tile dust to oily metal shavings. It must be tightened with considerable force to resist slipping under heavy use but that's to be expected.
